FLUON® LH8000

A TRULY AMAZING MATERIAL

AGC Chemicals has utilised its own unique adhesion chemistry combined with low melt technology to produce a truly amazing material. FLUON® LH8000 has already attracted a wealth of interest with trials for multilayer tubes, bottles, cast film as well as blown film.

NEW: ETFE MULTI-LAYERED BLOWN FILM

Previously blown film with ETFE was unheard of due to its low melt strength. Using the revolutionary FLUON® ETFE LH8000, a tie layer and polyethylene (PE) it is now possible to use the melt strength of the PE to provide support during the bubble expansion phase of the process. Hence, ETFE multi-layered blown film is now a possibility.

FLUON® C88AXMP-HT

HIGH STRESS CRACK RESISTANCE

FLUON® ETFE has a long history of being the ultimate choice in material for automotive cables due to a long list of properties including high abrasion resistance, chemical and thermal resistance. Due to the evolution of higher quality vehicle manufacturing, the German automotive standard LV112 has demanded higher temperatures for stress crack resistance which standard ETFE struggles to achieve.

FLUON® C88AXMP-HT

FLUON® C88AXMP-HT is an innovative, re-engineered ETFE which ensures high stress crack resistance whilst retaining the usual properties expected in a fluoropolymer.  Analogous to stress crack, MIT flex life of the new C88AXMP-HT has seen an increase to 26,500 cycles, compared to standard ETFE (16,400 cycles).

ULTRA-LIGHTWEIGHT AUTOMOTIVE CABLES

All these improved properties, combined with the low density of ETFE, gives the potential for ultra-lightweight automotive cables, which not only give excellent fuel economy, but can possibly help to reduce carbon footprint.
